Jörn was born in Berlin, Germany, where he lived until the late nineties, studying art, business, and economics at Freie Universität Berlin, and photography at Lette Verein.  He worked as a jeweler and a photographer.  Through his passion for travel and his weakness for women he ended up in Morro Bay, California, where, like his vegetable garden, he is now growing roots.

Several years ago, Jörn brought his interests to a new focus and became a fulltime potter. He produces mostly lidded jars, spending the summers firing his electric kiln and the winter his wood-fired kiln.
